Aged for 13 years and then finished for 12 months in oak that contained a lovely 21-year-old Armagnac, this release is bottled at 139.2 Proof /69.6% ABV and can only be described as refined elegance, marrying the rye spice with the sweet depth you get from ripe dark fruit.

Bill Hogg While I enjoy the whisky, I found it hard to drink more than an ounce, in a glencairn, in one sitting. The proof was just a bit much for me. Going to try adding a drop of water. I am open to other suggestions if available. I usually like to drink ryes in a rocks glass with a large ice cube.
